About BDistracted.net

Boundless Distraction isn’t about a person or a game, it is meant to be about the community of people who wish to play or create great indie games. I personally have two games in the process of being developed but have not actually made a game to completion as of yet. It is my hope that other game developers, especially those who have completed a game, will be willing to give advice to new or less experienced developers.

Reviewing points: What I look for a in a game.

  1. Rules: Are they clear and to the point?
  2. Game Play: Is the game fun? Does it take to long or feel to short? (Games that feel to short aren’t always a bad thing)
  3. Art: How much time did you spend bringing the game to life?

A great game will never be realized if no one picks it up, or if no one can understand the rules.

There are only three levels of ratings, and a game may differ in rating depending on circumstances surrounding it. For example, a game may be very awesome with multiple players but very dull with just a few.

The following pictures are the rating standard for BDistracted. I will show you each of the three and explain them briefly.

A game that is greatly enjoyable and I would drop what I am doing to play

A game that is enjoyable, but whether I actually stop what I am doing to play it is questionable

A game that I probably won’t leave my seat to play, and may possibly find other things to do just to get out of playing it.

Note: If you are interested in developing your own games and have immediate questions go to The Game Crafter (TGC).
